SPORTS CLASSES

Our year-round youth sports enrichment programs provides children with a fun and positive experience with sports and instills a lifelong enthusiasm for an active lifestyle. Our youth development programs help children increase their self-esteem and confidence in a motivating, encouraging environment.
 
Children will learn the fundamentals and basic rules of each sport that we teach, develop their fitness ABCs (Agility, Balance, and Coordination) and in addition learn core values such as (Teamwork, Respect, Positive Attitude, and Sportsmanship). 

Basketball

Pee Wees (Ages 3 to 4.5)

Rookies    (Ages 4.5 to 6)

Rookies II (Ages 6 to 7.5)

We introduce and emphasize dribbling, ball handling, passing, catching, shooting and the basic rules of basketball.

Soccer
Pee Wees (Ages 3 to 4.5)
Rookies    (Ages 4.5 to 6)

We introduce and emphasize dribbling, ball-control, passing, trapping, kicking goals, and the basic rules of soccer. 
Baseball

Pee Wees (Ages 3 to 4.5)

Rookies    (Ages 3.5 to 5)

Sluggers (Ages 4.5 to 5.5)

Sluggers II (Ages 5.5 to 7)

Students will develop baseball fundamentals: hitting, throwing, catching, fielding and base running.

Baseball - Player Development

Beginners to Intermediate (Ages 7 to 9)

Player Development Clinics will focus on: Hitting, Fielding, and Pitching. Proper form and technique will be emphasized.

Sports Movement

Ages 3 to 5

We focus on developing motor skills while introducing the fundamentals and basic rules of baseball, basketball, soccer, and football.

Take 1 Academy Sports Staff and Coaches are members of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association. As a member of the NYSCA, all coaches have completed youth sports education training which includes, youth safety, coach's roles and responsibilities, and sports specific training.

Take 1 Academy is a chapter of the National Alliance for Youth Sports.
